Garage Physics and Venturewell (formerly National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Association, NCIIA) offer a 2014-16 program of support for UW-Madison entrepreneurial teams to conduct R&D in Garage Physics leading to participation in local and national business plan competitions including the Venturewell programs. See http://venturewell.org/. Contact Prof. Duncan Carlsmith (Duncan@hep.wisc.edu) for more information. Kickoff was held 12 September 2018. Staff this year are Julian Irwin and Logan Wille along with Brett Unks and Prof. Carlsmith of course.
Hours will be posted at this wiki and on the front door. No access without staff present. Those who were previously issued keys should return their key to Aimee Lefkow. The key will not work.

Popup classes/workshops in CAD and 3d-printing, Arduinos, sensors etc will be announced via the garage and physics undergrad email distribution lists. Get on those!

Spring 2018: Noncredit pop-up classes Thursdays 5-6pm in Garage Physics start 19 Oct 2017. In individual sessions, the participant will learn computer-aided design (CAD) and 3d-printing, to program an Arduino computer from their laptop, to connect to various sensors and store data wirelessly on a server, and to write an Android app, all for science and applications. There are no prereq’s though some programming experience of some/any kind would be helpful. COntact Julian or April to attend and watch for announcements on the Garage email distribution list.
