This came with a manual for every component along with a manual for the pumping station as a whole. They are in the lab.
Notes
- This pumping station is awesome. You pretty much hook it up to the thing you want to pump down and turn it on.
- Because a turbo pump cannot pump when the pressure is more than ~ Torr, there is a diaphragm backing pump that gets the vacuum down to a range where the turbo pump can operate.
- It can be harmful to expose the turbo pump to atmosphere while it is running. If you need to disconnect the pumping station, first turn off the pump, then turn the vent valve (black knob on the back of turbo pump) a turn or two. This slowly brings up the pressure so the turbo pump is not damaged. You should be able to hear the air entering the valve, once this stops you should be able to disconnect the pump. Make sure to close the vent valve again though before you use the pump again, otherwise you will just be pumping on the room air.
