Began at 1:30PM. Removed week 1 set-ups from TA Prep room and replaced them with next week's labs. Removed lab equipment from 248, returned to storage. Started on e/M bulb modernization project, began by gluing felt to the top of the new, wider brackets. Built wiki page for task log.

Arrived at 10:00AM for meeting. Added help labels to printers, reorganized and reformatted areas of the Wiki, replaced central post on speaker assemblies for S-2

01/31/2011

Arrived 10:05AM for daily work. Updated wiki with new weekly Spring task list, other minor edits/changes in other areas. Located two more non-functioning speakers, began repair work. Removed non-working Vernier from 201 lab.

Arrived at 10:00AM for weekly lab meeting. Changed out labs, discussed state of the labs after snow day on 2/02/2011. Replaced equipment, cursed snow and all that it stands for.

Arrived at 10:40 AM. Discussed LaTeX project with Brett, started exploring file location. Started on e/M tube project, replaced mounts on two e/M tube set-ups. Returned in the afternoon, did one more, left instructions for Brandon to finish up e/M tube project. Did minor checks, removing broken equipment from labs.

Arrived at 10:45AM. Checked status of several labs, removed extra equipment from 248 lab. Checked on status of e/M tubes, noted that we were out of additional mounting hardware. Did not return in the afternoon due to tedious phone interview.

Arrived at 10:00AM for weekly meeting. Discussed what needed to happen this week, removed equipment from 104 lab. Updated wiki.

02/14/2011

Arrived at 10:10AM. Returned extra cart to working order by removing detritus which had accumulated. Did a walk-through of all labs, making sure they were tidy/set-up. Removed extra set-ups from 248 lab. Prepared cart for Tuesday night change-over of 104 with 16 set-ups of E-2-100. Edited wiki, adding weekly tasks for Week 5. Started working on LaTeX project by familiarizing self with LaTeX mark-up language, installing LaTeX editor on computer, and locating files on AFS-space.

Arrived at 10:30AM. Began changing over TA prep room. Added supplies to 104 lab at TA request. Continued consulting LaTeX documentation, began looking at files to make sense of project. Started working on project.

2/21/2011

Arrived at 10:20AM. Switched computers between 109 lab and 248 lab, as previous imaging IP address had been removed from DoIT's IP blackhole. Checked that all computers worked. Cleaned up TA prep room; noted that 208 lab's set-up of R-4 had been partially removed due to limited equipment for that lab, and was now placed in the actual 208 lab. Continued examining LaTeX project, familiarizing self with various changes made by Fang. Experimented by attempting to create a .png out of .tif files on desktop using GIMP; still getting the hang of this. Wrote rough plan of action; check over entire project to determine where it has stopped, convert .tif -> .png -> .pdf, add pictures in LaTeX, check formatting on entire project, and then conclusion. Figure roughly one day to check over project, 1-2 weeks (depending on workload/lab equipment) for conversion process, and an unknown amount of time for the picture adding. Updated weekly task list in wiki.
