Setup:

  1. Wrap a piece of paper around the wood and metal rod which are jointed end to end.
  2. Install the burner gas tube with the gas source.
  3. Make sure that you have the gas switch off and in the right pressure that you want before you turn it on.

Cautions, Warnings, or Safety Concerns:

  1. Beware of hot frame.
  2. Demonstration may require practice.

Demonstration:

Wrap a piece of paper around the end-to-end-jointed wood and metal rod. Place the junction in the flame of the burner. The part of the paper wrapped around the wood will be darker that that around the metal because the metal has more rapidly conduction the heat away than the wood.
