Description: This demo shows the limits of human reaction time by dropping a dollar bill or meter stick through a person's hand to quantify how long it takes for a person to react at first sight of the falling object and catch it.

- Have dollar bill or meter stick nearby.

Demonstration: 1. Have the person that is dropping item, the dropper, ready with item in hand. 2. Have volunteer, having reaction time tested hold hand oriented like a handshake then make a loose fist. 3. The dropper will sporadically drop the item, and the volunteer will react as quickly as he or she can to catch the falling object.
