Description:

The air puck is a small battery powered (4AA) hovercraft that floats on a cushion of air produced by an internal fan. Each unit has soft foam bumpers for inelastic collisions.

Setup:

  1. Flip the power switches located on the bottom of the pucks to the on position and place the units on a table or the floor.
  2. "AA" Batteries are stored in refrigerator.

Demonstration:

Use the two air pucks to model inelastic collisions between equal masses at zero friction.
